 our democracy is broken. We no longer have a government that listens. We no longer have a democracy, we need a radical shift toward a more direct system. Imagine being able to vote on key policies directly through a secure portal like (MY IR) a system where every citizen has a direct say on the laws that affect their lives, and where the government is forced to publicly justify any decision that goes against the public's vote. A system where we can refine policy's distil the dross out, imagine how popular things like being able to put a vehicle on hold for longer then one year or other similar things would be, It’s time to modernize our democracy, because the current left-right duopoly is short sighted slow moving and anti democratic in truth. we have lost faith in the system it has failed us it needs to change. The sheep are too polarized for any meaningful change to happen with the current party's. We need a new party to retake the middle in the name of the people, call it (vote of no confidence) a vote for the party being a vote to change the system and give the people the power to choose and refine policies, at least it would educate people and help break down the polarization while making the population feel like they have a voice. We need to get away from partys we need to choose our politicians individually let them make their case with what ideas they have and their view on important things we can even choose the questions to ask them if we make a flexible smart policy distilling voting system. We make the system first by voting for the best ideas of how we want it to work. System idea stage1 dreaming ideas put forth any with a certain amount of up votes pass to stage2 realist stage where the idea is scrutinized potentially changed and revoted on the best version and if it's worth pursuing from their it can go to different tiers back burner cold storage continued discussion or final reviews for implementation. As an ex labour voter, it's clear to me that the party and it's minions have catastrophically lost there way, abandoning its core mission to champion the working class in favor of policies that are both economically damaging and socially divisive. We've witnessed this in the housing market, where a policy of mass immigration—over 150,000 people a year—without a corresponding housing plan caused the price of affordable homes and rents to triple in just six years, crushing the financial security of a generation. and of course the greedy right are going to push the housing ponzi national are corrupt as expected. Simultaneously, the left's execution of social justice has backfired spectacularly. I experienced this directly when Department of Conservation job ads for maintaining tracks and huts explicitly asked for anyone other than a straight white men. This isn't equality; it's state-sanctioned discrimination we had got past racism sexism before the left went crazy, it's no wonder it has fueled a powerful backlash from the right and pushed the middle to the right. As to why we are going broke government after government has sold off industries infrastructure, and have all only had short term plans non have invested in the people or industry they are all corrupt with their pocket book heavily invested in the housing ponzi scam. The cheapest most affordable homes and land have tripled in 6 year's that means a lot of us that could lest afford it have had 300% inflation in 6 year's. Scumbags on the left were supposed to fight for the people but they are woke racist morons and still don't see they are the reason idiots like trump have been empowered. And don't even get me started with how inefficient our current work safe health and safety system, it's all about liability management most don't actually care about health as it's not as easy to come back on you, we need a (competent operator form) to compliment SOPs and PTWs, for repeat job's that a competent qualified person is sure is safe, a single page with room for air quality readings and if anything at all is picked up it has to be escalated to a PTW. Also In recent years, trans activism has taken a turn that’s created backlash and tension especially for those who simply wanted to live quietly and authentically without imposing on others. For a long time, many people were accepting of trans individuals who just wanted to be left in peace. But things have shifted, with growing frustration over gender ideology being pushed into every part of life, including women’s spaces and even schools. The introduction of puberty blockers and the influence on children has crossed a line for many, turning what once was about acceptance and respect into something seen as a harmful trend with lasting consequences.
